For years, boys in the 812 regions faced a frustrating reality: there were no local options for boys' volleyball. While the sport has been one of the fastest growing in the country, young male athletes in Southern Indiana were left behind, forced to either travel hours each week to practice with out of town clubs, or to give up playing the game altogether.

812 Aces is here to change that.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to grow the game of boys' volleyball by giving young athletes in the Columbus, Indiana area access to competitive, high-level training right here at home. We believe every boy who wants to play this sport should have the opportunity — regardless of where they live or what they can afford.

812 Aces was created out of a passion for both volleyball and community. We strive to provide a positive, competitive, and developmental experience for every athlete that walks through our doors. Whether a player is brand new to the game or aiming to compete at the collegiate level, we focus on growth, grit, and team culture.

Unlike many clubs, our priority isn’t profit. It’s people. We are committed to keeping costs affordable for families, because we believe access to great coaching and meaningful competition should never be a luxury. We’re here to build something bigger: a place where athletes grow, teammates become family, and the 812 becomes a true home for boys' volleyball.

Boys' volleyball is experiencing a surge like never before, and it's not just a national trend. Here in Indiana, the game is booming. Once considered an under the radar sport, boys' volleyball has become one of the fastest growing high school sports in the U.S. Driven by explosive athleticism, fast paced action, and unmatched teamwork, it's quickly earning its place in schools and communities across the country.

In 2024, the IBVCA grew to over 100 teams, and in 2025, boys' volleyball officially became sanctioned as a sport in the IHSAA. With more high schools launching teams, competitive clubs expanding, and athletes committing to the sport year-round, Indiana is becoming a powerhouse for boys' volleyball.
